Sheep of Shady Oaks Farm
We are raising registered Gulf Coast Native Sheep at Shady Oaks Farm. These are a heritage breed that are uniquely suited to the hot and humid environment of the South East. These sheep are descendants of the sheep left here by the Spanish explorers in the 1500s. Over time and with natural selection, these sheep have developed into a resilient, parasite resistant, and relatively independent breed.
